"When I first applied for the role in Speak, I was excited but also a little nervous considering how heavy of a topic it was and how close to home it hit for me. But when Jada reached out to me, I definitely felt more comfortable which made it a whole new experience for me. When I first got to set, I instantly felt welcomed by the cast and crew. We were able to create something that not only hit close to home for me, but for the audience as well. It can be pretty difficult to act out such a heavy experience and have fun on set at the same time, but Jada made it possible. This was the first film I ever worked on and it was an experience I will cherish and take with me through hard times.
