Offbeat Films and She is a Siren are excited to announce that we will be offering interactive classes for kids with an interest in acting!
Classes will be taught by Jada Silverstein (Writer, Director, and Producer of award winning short film "Behind Bars," award nominated short film "Speak," and upcoming feature film "Destiny's Window," as well as lead actor in "Speak," and upcoming feature film "Chasing Emily"). Jada has successfully casted and directed children in each of her films, ensuring a positive, and enjoyable experience. Jada has studied under a range of professional actors, directors, and producers. Prior to her career in film, Jada has extensive experience working with children as a classroom aide, gymnastics coach, and childcare provider.
We are an inclusive program, offering our classes to children of all abilities and neurodiversity.
All ages: Private lessons are available for kids who want a more personalized experience. Students can choose what they want to work on during these sessions, including preparing for an audition or exploring a variety of acting techniques.
Price: $50 per hour, $200 for a package of five lessons.
Group Acting Lessons-

Intermediate Acting for Film and TV (Ages 7-10):
This is a two hour class which will be split between playing creative improv/warm-up games and breaking down and memorizing scenes, working on character development, and exploring different acting techniques. We will also cover set etiquette, filming self-tapes, and the more technical aspects of being an actor. At the end of each 8-week session all students will be involved in creating a short film. As a group, students will come develop a plot line, add characters, and put together a script with their group. Students will also have the opportunity to explore what it's like to be behind the camera during the filming! The short film will be showcased to all the students and their families at the end of each 8-week session.
Price: $450 per semester or $35 per class
sics of Acting/Performing for Film and TV(Ages 4-6): This is a one-hour interactive class where children will learn the basics of acting through creative games and activities. They will be taught basic line memorization, how to
work with scene partners, and beginner improv. Prior to the end of each 8-week session, all students will be involved in creating a short film which will be showcased to all the students and their families.
Price: $300 per semester or $25 per class
